South Park Launches 7th Season & First High-Def Episode on Xbox 360

Plenty is going on this week with the kids of SOUTH PARK as the 11th season of the hit animated show for Comedy Central kicks off on March 7, 2007, and the first-ever high definition episode, "Good Times With Weapons" is released exclusively on Xbox 360 on March 6.

Fans of Comedy Central 's Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series, SOUTH PARK, are going to see just how good Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman really look in this HD episode offered for free to Xbox LIVE members for two weeks. The episode can be downloaded via Xbox LIVE Marketplace, home to more than 1,500 hours of premium entertainment content.

Best Buy will offer free HD DVDs of the "Good Times With Weapons" episode with the purchase of any Xbox 360 console or HD DVD drive from March 20 through April 3.

SOUTH PARK season 11 debuts March 7 at 10:00 pm on Comedy Central. Viewers can expect a parody of the popular FOX hit series, 24, and Hilary Clinton pays a visit to South Park. As a bonus, fans will be able to download the uncensored version of each new episode from the 11th season on iTunes the Tuesday after it premieres, beginning on Tuesday, March 13.

Also for the first time ever, the newest episodes from Season 11 will be available uncensored on Xbox LIVE beginning March 13. SOUTH PARK seasons five through nine are currently available on Xbox LIVE as well as the critically-acclaimed movie, SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER, UNCUT. Since its debut on Xbox LIVE, SOUTH PARK episodes have been among the most popular downloads.

Launched in 1997, SOUTH PARK, now in its 11th season, remains the highest-rated series on COMEDY CENTRAL. SOUTH PARK repeats Wednesdays at 12:00 am, Thursdays at 10:00 pm and 12:30 am, Fridays at 12:00 am and Sundays at 11:00 pm.
