Sony Drops ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One)’ Teaser

We finally get our first real look at the sequel to Sony Pictures Animation’s 2018 Oscar-winning animated feature; highly anticipated follow-up set to hit theaters October 7, 2022.

Over the weekend at Brazil Comic Con, Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation shared a first look teaser and images from one of the most highly anticipated sequels in animated feature film history. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One), the follow-up to 2018’s Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, will hit theaters on October 7, 2022.

Helmed once again by a trio of directors – this time, Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson – from a screenplay by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller and David Callaham, the film stars Oscar Isaac, Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld.

Miles returns with his awkward charm intact – Gwen returns with her confident cool – and the visuals… well… see for yourself!

The studio bills the film as an “epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.”

We can’t wait!

Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Lord, Miller, and Christina Steinberg are producing the film, which again is based on the Marvel comic books.
