SolidAnim Introduces SolidTrack Unity at NAB 2016

New version of markerless camera tracking and previs/animation solution for real-time visual effects & on-set visualization now includes the Unity game engine for rendering.

PARIS -- SolidAnim has announced the upcoming introduction of the latest version of SolidTrack at NAB2016. SolidTrack is a real time camera tracking solution for recording camera moves and data logging of camera moves on the virtual set. SolidTrack has been utilized on films such as Gods of Egypt and The Walk, and television shows such as Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey and DaVinci's Demons. The new version of SolidTrack includes the rendering game engine, Unity, and will be demonstrated in the Ultimatte booth.

The Unity 5 plug-in, developed by the SolidAnim team, receives tracking data from SolidTrack and matches it in a 3D environment. The combination of SolidTrack's camera tracking data with video game rendering engine enhances user creativity with the large panel of tools in Unity 5 and the friendly user interface of SolidTrack. The combined solution enables augmented realities and delivers a high quality result, both to broadcasters and filmmakers.

Also at NAB, Ross Video and SolidAnim will announce their innovative common solution: RossSolidTrack, which will be demonstrated in the Ross Video booth. RossSolidTrack is a universal camera tracking system that can be used anytime, anywhere, and on anything. Based on a patented optical tracking technology, RossSolidtrack delivers accurate real-time tracking data for any camera, without the need for fixed markers or other complex and bulky infrastructure.

Ross will focus on broadcast and live production applications for this real-time camera tracking and pre-visualization solution, including the manufacturing and distribution of Ross SolidTrack systems. Now Ross robotic systems including Furio RC, Cambot 500 and 600 can include tracking capabilities. Ross UX Virtual Camera Control (UXVCC) will enable users not using a Ross graphics system to easily work with SolidTrack.
