Snowball Reveals His Cuddly Superhero Side in New ‘Secret Life of Pets 2’ Trailer

Illumination Entertainment releases the third trailer for next summer’s sequel to their 2016 animated comedy hit, ‘Secret Life of Pets.’

Cute and cuddly saves the day!  Illumination Entertainment has just released the third in a series of new trailers and posters for The Secret Life of Pets 2, the upcoming sequel to the studio’s 2016 animated comedy hit, Secret Life of Pets, which showed audiences how their pets really behave when left alone at home.

In the latest trailer, we watch Snowball, voiced by Kevin Hart, the first film’s snarling Flushed Pets animal gang boss eventually corralled into kid’s pet domestic bliss after being adopted by a sweet young girl named Molly, transformed yet again, this time, into a fluffy, golden-caped superhero, energetically greeting a new day in New York before being left in charge of a Super Hero Animal Friends meeting.

Led by Patton Oswalt as Jack Russell terrier Max, the voice cast for The Secret Life of Pets 2 also features Lake Bell as Choe the tabby cat, Bobby Moynihan as Mel the pug, Hannibal Buress as Buddy the dachshund, Eric Stonestreet as Duke the mongrel and Jenny Slate as Gidget the Pomeranian. Franchise newcomers Tiffany Haddish and Nick Kroll round out the film’s cast alongside Harrison Ford as the villainous animal-abusing vet Dr. Francis.

The Secret Life of Pets 2 is produced by Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy, with both director Chis Renaud and writer Brian Lynch returning for the sequel.

Secret Life of Pets opened to a massive $104.4 million in July 2016, according to Box Office Mojo, going to on to earn a total of $368.4 million at the domestic box office. The film also brought in $507.1 million overseas for a global tally of $875.5 million. The Secret Life of Pets 2 arrives in theaters on June 7, 2019.
