The Annual Conference takes place December 6-9 in Daegu, South Korea – with COVID travel restrictions lifted, the event promises the in-person return of a diverse group of respected technical and creative people from all over the world; don’t miss SACAF 2022, celebrating the vibrant and inspiring world of computer animation.

SIGGRAPH Asia 2022, ACM SIGGRAPH’s annual conference and exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques in Asia, will take place in Daegu, South Korea, at the Daegu Exhibition & Convention Center (EXCO), this coming December 6-9.

The annual event, which rotates around the Asian region, attracts the most respected technical and creative people from all over the world who are excited by research, science, art, animation, gaming, interactivity, education, and emerging technologies.

Registration is officially open for SIGGRAPH Asia 2022. South Korea has lifted the pre-arrival Covid-19 test requirements for all international arrivals, so it’s time to start making plans for this December.

This year at SIGGRAPH Asia, SACAF 2022 will convene to celebrate computer animation's vibrant, diverse, and inspiring world. From short films to scientific visualizations to AI-enhanced deep fakes, this year’s festival promises its most expansive and compelling program ever.

An international jury of top computer animation experts will judge the best works entered in each category; from that pool of top picks, they’ll hand out three prestigious 2022 awards: Best Student Project, Jury Special, and Best in Show. In addition, judges will select between 30-40 (or more) “best of the best” works from across the submissions curated into the two “stars” of the festival: the always spectacular Electronic Theater and Animation Theater screenings.

Each year, the Electronic Theater and Animation Theater never fail to dazzle and delight conference audiences eager to sit back and enjoy an entertaining and thought-provoking sample of the world’s best CG animation.

Register here.
