Shrek Producer Goes on Odyssey for Ribbit Film

SHREK producer John H. Williams has partnered again with U.K.-based sales and financing company Odyssey Ent. to bring the animation producer's latest project, RIBBIT, to the market, according to HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. The new deal between Williams Ealing Studio-based Vanguard Animation and Odyssey is the fourth time Odyssey has taken international sales duties for the Oscar-winning producer's properties.

Previously, Odyssey sold international territories for VALIANT, which will be released in the U.S. in August by Walt Disney Pictures. Additionally, the British company is selling Williams HAPPILY N'EVER AFTER and SPACE CHIMPS. Domestic sales are handled by Williams.

RIBBIT tells the tale of a country frog and his wild adventure to the big city. The film is being produced by Williams and Vanguards new exec Margaret French Isaac, a former DreamWorks executive. The film is in the early stages of voice casting, but is set to debut in the fall 2007. Gary Gilbert wrote the script with rewrites by Jamie Pachino. No director has been announced.
