Shout! Factory’s ‘SHIROBAKO The Movie’ Now Out on Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital

The fan-favorite anime - about making anime – hits shelves and digital today, December 7.

SHIROBAKO The Movie, a love letter to the anime industry, releases today, December 7, 2021 on digital download and on Blu-ray + DVD combo pack. From Eleven Arts and Shout! Factory, the anime - about making anime - makes its home entertainment debut following a North American theatrical release this summer.

The highly anticipated sequel to the television anime series of the same name is set four years after the events of the series. Musashino Animation has gone through drastic changes and things are looking bleak for the studio. One day, Aoi Miyamori gets offered a role managing a new theatrical animation project. With only a few months left before the deadline, can MUSANI complete the unfinished project? It’s up to Aoi to work alongside faces both familiar and new to complete the project in time!

The film is directed by Tsutomu Mizushima (Girls und Panzer, Prison School) with Michiko Yokote (Naruto, Cowboy Bebop) serving as screenwriter; they both lent their talents to the movie after working on the series.

Bonus features on the Blu-ray + DVD combo pack release include a teaser, a trailer never before seen in North America, and a 4-page booklet with stunning character art.
