Shelldon To Make qubo A Greener Place

Entertainment Rights has secured a U.S. broadcast partner for the new CGI animated television series, SHELLDON. Through the deal, SHELLDON will be seen on qubo's children's programming block, which currently airs on NBC, Telemundo, and ION TV networks. The 13x30 series, which focuses on environmental themes, targets kids ages 4-8 and is scheduled to premiere in spring 2009.

Entertainment Rights acquired the worldwide distribution rights (excluding Thailand and with shared representation in Japan and Korea) in March 2008 across all forms of television, digital media, home entertainment, music, licensing and merchandising, and all other media.

"We are extremely excited to conclude our first major broadcast partner for SHELLDON in the U.S. and qubo is the perfect home for this new animated series," said Doug Schwalbe, Exec VP, Sales and Co-Production, Entertainment Rights North America. "SHELLDON is a vibrant show that addresses important issues in a very creative, fun and clever way. Following our success in the U.S. we are now actively engaged with key international broadcasters at MIPCOM following the delivery of the first episode, to expand the worldwide presence for this series."

Produced by Shellhut Ent., SHELLDON is a lighthearted series that aims to entertain as well as educate children about marine life and creatures that live in the sea. The series engages kids with environmental themes and an overarching message that shows the characters involved in making the world a better and greener place.
