‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’ Creator Launches Substack

Hugely popular Netflix and DreamWorks series’ showrunner and executive producer Noelle Stevenson unveils ‘I’m Fine I’m Fine Just Understand,’ where they’ll share two weekly comics, personal anecdotes and answers to readers’ questions about animation and comics.

Noelle Stevenson, the creator, showrunner and executive producer of the hugely popular Netflix Original Series, DreamWorks Animation’s She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, has announced their newest endeavor, the launch of a Substack called “I’m Fine I’m Fine Just Understand.”

Using their work to both modernize and humanize female characters through stories that both resonate with a new generation of fans as well embrace contemporary sensibilities regarding female and LGBT empowerment, Stevenson has been searching for a new platform to publish maintain control over autobiographical comics and shared personal anecdotes. They now join a growing group of major media personalities, filmmakers and authors who are taking greater ownership and control over their content by moving to the Substack platform.

Unlike social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram, Substack provides publishing, payment, analytics, and design infrastructure to support subscription newsletters. Content creators can send digital newsletters directly to subscribers without broad circulation to general social media. Stevenson will be providing premium subscribers access to additional comics that reflect more personal/sensitive topics.

Having found their new ‘Home’ on Substack, Stevenson will be posting two comics a week as well as answering questions commonly received about the animation and comics industry. We are guessing (hoping?) that Stevenson will use their tremendous talent and unique voice, now on Substack, to continue their messages of female empowerment.
