Bill Birch has been tapped by Warner Bros. to pen yet another version of SHAZAM!, VARIETY reports. Geoff Johns is co-writing and consulting on the script. GET SMART helmer Peter Segal is set to direct.
The DC Comic followed teen Billy Batson, who changes into Capt. Marvel when he utters the word Shazam.
Segal and his Callahan Filmworks partner Michael Ewing will produce.
In the past, John August, William Goldman, Bryan Goluboff and Joel Cohen & Alec Sokolow have all taken stabs at the project.
