Featuring more than 100 hours of horror and sci-fi movies, miniseries and originals, SCI FI Channels Halloween marathon begins on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, and wraps up on Halloween night with a special six-hour GHOST HUNTERS LIVE special.
On Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 3:00 pm, SCI FI will air the horror film, ROOM 6. After a tragic accident, a young woman and a fellow victim struggle to track down their loved ones at a mysterious hospital. The feature stars Jerry OConnell and Christine Taylor.
On Friday, Oct. 27, starting at 1:00 pm, SCI FI will broadcast the miniseries version of STEPHEN KINGS THE SHINING. After accepting a job as a caretaker at a winter resort, Jack (Steven Weber) relocates his wife (Rebecca De Mornay) and son (Courtland Mead) there. Already in a slumbering state of depression, Jack seems to be taken over by supernatural beings within the resort, leading him to threaten the lives of his family.
SCI FI has more Stephen King scares to follow on Saturday, Oct. 29, beginning at 1:00 pm, when it airs the miniseries ROSE RED. Dr. Joyce Reardon (Nancy Travis), a psychology professor, leads a team of psychics into the decrepit mansion known as Rose Red. Her efforts unleash the spirit of former owner Ellen Rimbauer and uncover the horrifying secrets of those who lived and died there.
