Sarofsky Bolsters Talent Roster with Two Additions

Creative director Patrick Coleman and producer Sam Clark join Chicago-based production company known for its design-driven work on commercials, brand films, title sequences and more.

CHICAGO, ILSarofsky, a Chicago based design-driven production company, has announced the addition of creative director Patrick Coleman and producer Sam Clark to its staff. The news was announced by company principal and executive creative director Erin Sarofsky and executive producer Steven Anderson.

Over the past three years, Patrick has been a freelance senior designer and creative director, working on projects for Digital Kitchen, Inside Job, Havas, Leviathan, Vitamin Pictures and Sarofsky, where he has earned credits on dozens of commercials as well as main titles for National Geographic Explorer, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Ant-Man.

"What's great about having worked alongside Patrick as both a senior animator/designer and as a creative director is seeing how deep his understanding of the process goes," Sarofsky commented. "That range has garnered him the respect of everyone internally at Sarofsky, as well as our clients."

"After my very first assignment with Sarofsky (Winter Soldier), I knew I wanted to work here, not only because of the work, but because of the people," Coleman explained. "They value opinions and work hard to keep schedules that allow for a good work/life balance."

Clark brings Sarofsky more than nine years of deep experience as a producer and VFX production consultant. As an advisor and trainer for VFX and post-production teams, Clark's latest project is Terrence Malick's documentary feature, Voyage of Time. Currently a faculty member at the John Hughes Institute teaching VFX production management, over the past several years, he also held the role of VFX Data Manager for the feature film Jupiter Ascending and the TV series Sense8. Previously the CG Production Manager for Rhythm & Hues in LA, Sam's feature credits include Alvin and the Chipmunks, Night at the Museum, Red Riding Hood, R.I.P.D., Yogi Bear and the 2013 Academy Award winner for Best Achievement in Visual Effects, Life of Pi.

"What I really appreciate in Sam is his attention to detail, his focus and his respect for and complete understanding of the production process," Anderson said. "As we continue to expand and grow our production capabilities and offerings, having a producer with Sam's skillset is a phenomenal addition."

Like Coleman, Clark is especially enthused about Sarofsky's culture.

"I'm thrilled to be a part of this amazingly dedicated, talented and passionate team," Clark added.
