The Bosanimal line, derived from the Japanese word "bosabosa" meaning untidy hair, was created in 2021. The series will follow the everyday lives of the bunny Sakura, the cat Cathy, and the hamster Ran.

Isamu Ueno (I'm From Japan, Mrs. Warabi) will direct the series at studio maroyaka and soket, in collaboration with ODDJOB Inc., while Hiromu Kumamoto, Aya Satsuki, and Chihiro Amano will co-write the script.

In the meantime, Sanrio fans can watch Aggretsuko, Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure, and Hello Kitty Happiness Parade on Netflix.
