Naughty Tortoise and Studio Liddell debut transmedia action-comedy series Sankari to Cartoon Forum in Toulouse, France.
The new 52 x 22-minute 2D/3D hybrid action-comedy series Sankari had its debut at Cartoon Forum in Toulouse, France this week. The series is a co-production between UK-based Naughty Tortoise and Studio Liddell aimed at a six to 12-year-old demographic.
Promising thrills & oil spills, Sankari follows orphaned teenage boy Ariston and his robot Mangle as they join a team competing in the gladiatorial sport of Sankari. They use victory in the games to unite the people and lead a revolution against the oppressors of the land.
The partners have positioned the IP as a transmedia opportunity and have employed 3D printing in the character design for the project. They are currently seeking broadcast partners and will bring the series to MIPCOM next month.
