Rhythm & Hues Studio is set to open a Vancouver location before January 9th, reports Variety. The El Segundo, CA-based company will begin with a small staff, but hopes to eventually reach as many as 150 artists. The decision provides the company with the ability to offer productions the Canadian tax credits. The firm is looking for a location to base their operations.
Additionally, the vfx studio will be expanding its business in Asia. In 2012, Rhythm & Hues will open a third facility in India to go along with its locations in Mumbai and Hyderabad. The company also has a branch in Malaysia.
