CANNES -- Magic Light Pictures’ Revolting Rhymes won the Emmy for best kids’ animation at the sixth International Emmy Kids Awards held April 10 in the Intercontinental Carlton Hotel in Cannes, France, at MIP-TV.

The Emmy adds to the film’s list of major awards after success at the BAFTAs, European Animation Awards, the Annies and the Annecy Animation Festival, plus an Oscar nomination.

Magic Light Pictures co-founder Martin Pope said: “We’re so thrilled to win the prestigious Kids’ Emmy and honored that the judges rated Revolting Rhymes so highly in the face of such stiff competition from around the world. It is a great tribute to the brilliant work of the directors, Jakob Schuh and Jan Lachauer, and the entire crew who worked on the film.”
