Release Date Set for ‘Flow’ Animated Feature

Gints Zilbalodis’ Annecy award-winning 3D animated film, which follows a cat who wakes up in a universe where all human life seems to have disappeared, opens in New York and Los Angeles on November 22.

The award winning 3D-animated film, Flow, from Latvian animator Gints Zilbalodis (Away), will open in New York and Los Angeles on November 22.

Flow, produced by Dream Well Studio, Take Five, and Sacrebleu Productions, follows a cat who wakes up in a universe invaded by water, where all human life seems to have disappeared. He finds refuge on a boat with a group of other animals but finds that getting along with them is an even bigger challenge than overcoming a fear of water.

Flow premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival and won the Annecy International Animation Film Festival Jury Award, the Gan Foundation Award for Distribution, the Audience Award, and the Best Original Music Award for a Feature Film. The project was also selected as Latvia’s official submission for the Best International Feature Oscar.
