Relativity Becomes Immortal on 11-11-11

Relativity Media announced today that it will theatrically market and distribute its 3-D epic Immortals, in association with Universal Pictures International, in North America.

(Beverly Hills, CA) January 11, 2011 – Relativity Media announced today that it will theatrically market and distribute its 3-D epic Immortals, in association with Universal Pictures International, in North America. On November 11, 2011, legends of the Greek Gods will come to life like never before when this film hits theaters.

Directed by Tarsem Singh (The Cell) and written by Charles Parlapanides and Vlas Parlapanides, Immortals stars Henry Cavill (“The Tudors”), Stephen Dorff (Public Enemies), Isabel Lucas (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire), Luke Evans (Robin Hood), Kellan Lutz (Twilight series), with John Hurt (Hellboy), and Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2).

In Immortals, the ruthless King Hyperion (Rourke) leads his bloodthirsty army on a murderous rampage across Greece to find a deadly weapon that will destroy humanity. A mortal chosen by Zeus named Theseus (Cavill) must lead the fight against Hyperion and his evil army with the fate of mankind and the Gods at stake.

Immortals is produced by Mark Canton (300), Gianni Nunnari (Shutter Island) and Ryan Kavanaugh (Dear John), and Executive Produced by Tucker Tooley (Dear John), Tommy Turtle (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), and Jeff G. Waxman (Law Abiding Citizen).

Immortals adds to Relativity’s 2011 slate which already includes Season of the Witch, currently in theaters, starring Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman. After that is Take Me Home Tonight on March 4th, starring Topher Grace and Anna Faris. Following on March 18th, is the much-anticipated Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish and Oscar®-winner Robert De Niro. Relativity recently announced its acquisition of the Untitled David R. Ellis 3D Shark Thriller which will release in theaters on September 2nd.
