London-based Entara has created a dedicated in-house distribution division designed to expand the companys reach in the global childrens media market. Regis Brown, formally of Taffy Ent., joins Entara as evp to run the division from Los Angeles and lead the companys strategic growth in worldwide distribution, co-production, and acquisitions. Brown will focus on building and managing Entaras proprietary film and television animation entertainment business.
Entara is enjoying continued worldwide success with JAKERS! THE ADVENTURES OF PIGGLEY WINKS, that represented Brown for Taffy Ent. Entara owns all property rights to JAKERS! and believes it forms an excellent foundation to expand its business model into distribution. Next on Entaras slate of childrens programming, is recently acquired THOSE SCURVY RASCALS, winner of two 2006 British Animation Awards for Childrens Choice and Best Childrens Series. The series was initially developed by Soho-based Blue Zoo, which is producing the 26-episode CGI animated series.

A 25-year vet in the international film and television business, Brown joined Mike Young Prods. in 2002 and was instrumental in the launch and successful growth of Taffy Ent. with JAKERS! THE ADVENTURES OF PIGGLEY WINKS, PET ALIEN and TODDWORLD. Prior to Taffy, Regis spent six years with Film Roman, where he helped establish the companys proprietary distribution business with well-known titles, THE TWISTED TALES OF FELIX THE CAT and BRUNO THE KID.
Brown was also vp of international television & video at Sunwoo Ent., director of international distribution for New World/Trans Atlantic, manager of technical services for MGM/Pathe Communications international film division and a financial analyst for Cannon Films.
