Red Giant Acquires Singular Software Technology

Red Giant announced its acquisition of the products and related intellectual property of Singular Software.

Portland, OR Red Giant announced its acquisition of the products and related intellectual property of Singular Software. This partnership is a natural fit for two companies with a similar vision and culture, and the upcoming release of PluralEyes 3.0 will make professional syncing for audio and video fast, easy and accurate.  

Red Giant develops video tools for filmmakers, with their Magic Bullet product line leading the way for color correction and visual storytelling. Singular Software's PluralEyes is the leading tool for audio/video workflow synchronization which works seamlessly with all the major video editors.Together PluralEyes and Magic Bullet bring filmmakers and editors into the edit faster.

The entire Singular Software team is partnering with Red Giant, which keeps an important continuity in engineering and support. All development for Singular Software products will continue full-steam, with PluralEyes 3.0 for Mac scheduled for release in Summer 2012. Going forward, Singular Software technology will be a crucial part of Red Giant’s plans for new filmmaking and workflow products.

Beginning July 9, 2012, all Singular Software products will become part of the Red Giant portfolio, including:  

  • PluralEyes for automatedsyncing of audio tracks and multi-camera video.
  • DualEyes for audioreplacement for DSLR users. 
  • CloudEyes, a set ofaudio/video synchronization services for developers.
  • Singular SoftwarePresto, a quick, easy way to create professional quality videos ofpresentations.
  • All intellectualproperty for the related technology.

The products will continue to be sold and supported through Singular Software’s website over the next couple of months. In Q3 2012, Red Giant will complete their integration of the Singular Software products, and all sales and support will move to RedGiant.com

Pricing and product offerings will remain unchanged during the transition, and pricing for PluralEyes 3.0 will be announced on release. Because this is a private transaction, the companies will not disclose financial information. Further details about the partnership are available at Redgiant.com
