Rainbow Secures 'PopPixie' Licensing Agreement

Italy’s Rainbow secures a licensing partnership with U.S toy company JAKKS Pacific for toy rights to its girls’ property and animated television series “PopPixie.”

Italian producer, distributor and licensor Rainbow has secured a licensing partnership with leading U.S toy company JAKKS Pacific Inc. for toy rights to its girls’ property and animated television series PopPixie. JAKKS Pacific is expected to manufacture, distribute and market a line of toys based on the animated series.

The agreement with JAKKS Pacific Inc. covers all English-speaking territories with a planned launch of PopPixie consumer products including dolls, figurines, dress sets and plush at retail in Spring 2014. PopPixie is a TV and licensing hit, already broadcasting in over 25 countries in Europe. It has a target audience of 5-9 year old kids and is a TV series full of comedy, bizarre adventures and surreal antics. PopPixie has more than 115 licensees already on board across all key licensing categories including toys, publishing, back-to-school, home entertainment, apparel and FMCG.

PopPixie is a comedy adventure set in a fantastic dimension called Pixieville, inhabited by a group of inseparable friendswho are always ready to help each other; Pixies are well-mannered and caring, cheerful, courageous and spunky, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. They are full of energy and always ready to lend a hand. More than anything, Pixies would like everyone to be as happy. When they become PopPixies they wear different costumes and have new powers with spectacular effects. The Pixies share Pixieville with the Elves, Gnomes and magical Animals, sharing everyday life as well as major events in the community.
