Rainbow Announces Winx Club Treasure Hunt

Rainbow announces a new collaboration with French web media partner CitizenKid that will see four magical Winx Club treasure hunts take place in parks across France.

Rainbow has announced a new collaboration with French web media partner CitizenKid that will see four magical Winx Club treasure hunts take place in parks across France.

CitizenKid is a popular and very successful website that lets kids and parents know about fun and exciting activities and events taking place in cities across France. Rainbow’s collaboration with CitizenKid follows on from a hugely successful online promotion last winter that saw one lucky Winx Club fan win a special Winx-themed trip to Italy.

CitizenKid is the ideal partner for Winx Club both because of the high level of awareness it enjoys and because it shares a large part of its target audience with Winx Club. Many of the kids using CitizenKid are Winx Club fans or from the Winx Club demographic, as the show is a massive hit amongst girls from 4 to 10 right up to tween/teen, and CitizenKid uses the familiar faces of the Winx fairies to teach kids about the importance of activity and getting out and about.

The exciting and inspirational treasure hunts are set to coincide with National Nature Day in France and participants will be challenged to solve a series of clues based around their favourite fairies. Solving the clues will eventually lead them to a magical treasure trove full of Winx dolls and goodies from leading licensees Hachette and Panini.

The treasure hunts will all take place on the same day – May 24th 2014 – in four of France’s most beautiful and famous parks: Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, Parc Tête d'Or in Lyon, Parc Longchamps in Marseilles, and Parc Bordelais in Bordeaux.

“We are very excited to be extending our partnership with CitizenKid, especially as the last project was so successful in boosting brand engagement, and together we have put a lot of effort into a promotion that will bring the magic of Winx into the famous parks of France!” comments Lorena Vaccari, Head of Retail and Promotion at Rainbow Group.”

“We are happy to extend our partnership with Winx Club and are looking forward to welcoming Winx fans to these fun and educational treasure hunts that will delight both children and their parents,” adds Stéphane Fulchiron, CitizenKid Marketing Manager.

Winx Club is the hit show that follows the adventures of a group of young fairies, combining action/adventure with comedy, and boasts 156 beautiful and enchanting animated episodes as well as two feature-length movies, with a third currently in production and due for release from September this year.
