The project will reunite director Tim Burton with star Johnny Depp, who will produce with Graham King's GK Films, Richard Zanuck, Christi Dembrowski and David Kennedy.

Grahame-Smith is already working with Burton on the adaptation of his LINCOLN novel.

Depp, a huge fan of the series, obtained the rights from producer/director Dan Curtis' estate. The show followed vampire Barnabas Collins, the character Depp would play, and aired on ABC for five years beginning in 1966.
