Post Logic Staffs Up and Prepares for Capital Expansion

Leading post-production boutique Post Logic Studios has added three new members to its management team as the company prepares to roll out a multimillion-dollar capital expansion under the leadership of president Steve Hendricks.

Kelvin Duckett has been appointed to the newly created position of managing director. His duties will encompass the daily operation of the companys Hollywood operation with emphasis on client relations, engineering oversight and staff management. Also joining the management team are exec producer Peter McEvoy and vp sales Cheryl Brady. The team will work closely with Manny Fernandez, who was appointed managing director of the companys satellite boutique, Post Logic N.Y.C., in April.

Recent projects at Post Logic Studios include THE ADVENTURES OF SHARK BOY AND LAVA GIRL IN 3D, SIN CITY, HOTEL RWANDA and the award-winning indie film THE DEVIL AND DANIEL JOHNSTON.

Duckett has more than 20 years experience in the post-production industry, having co-founded with Hendricks, Virgins award-winning post-production companies 525 and Virgin Mexico. Most recently he was director of Post Production Services at Weller Grossman Prods., where he lead a production transition from standard definition to HD. Previously, he was managing director of POP TV, a division of POP (Pacific Ocean Post), and president of Medialab, a world-class motion capture studio owned by Canal Plus in Paris, France.

McEvoy comes to Post Logic from LaserPacific Media Corp., where he was responsible for the sales, budgeting and workflow of digital intermediate, digital cinema and feature mastering services. He worked as a producer on digital cinema and high definition projects at the Sony Pictures High Def Center and as a post-production supervisor for Sony Pictures Ent. He is also an experienced camera operator and a member of the Cinematographers Guild.

Brady was most recently president of Lightning Media, where she oversaw all aspects of the companys operation, including engineering, finance, sales, marketing and business development during her 12-year tenure. She successfully moved Lightning Media from a standard video-based environment to one that encompasses HD, multimedia, DVD authoring, encoding and digital production and rebranded the company in the process.

As part of the expansion, Post Logic will be purchasing new film scanners and recorders, 2k and 4k color correction and an extensive new storage area network (SAN). "Our core talent, which is the real reason our clients keep coming back to Post Logic, remains firmly in place, but supported now by the most advanced technology. Hendricks added. We will continue to be fiercely independent, not a division of a conglomerate. Our intent is not to be the biggest shop in town, but to be the best."

With state-of-the-art facilities in Hollywood and New York, Post Logic Studios (www.postlogic.com) has distinguished itself as a leader in digital intermediate and feature film restoration, and continues to expand into new and emerging arenas within the post-production realm. The company provides cutting edge digital intermediate, digital mastering, post-production, visual effects and audio post-production services to feature film, commercial and television clients from its flagship Hollywood facility and Manhattan-based satellite, Post Logic N.Y.C.
