Post House Rushes Lead The Way In The Future Of Grading

London-based post house Rushes has invested in its telecine capabilities with the acquisition of a da Vinci Systems Resolve R250 digital mastering suite with Impresario control interface for grading and DI finishing.

Rushes' team of colourists, lead by Adrian Seery have the power to control color with the Resolve system, which brings a whole new set of grading and post production tools to the grading work flow. This means increased speed of production and greater flexibility throughout the grading process.

The benefits of Resolve include the ability to see the grading of a film or commercial in context, no limits to the number of power windows available to the Colourist; the option to export individual shots to VFX rooms for matting and the ability to ingest and grade image sequences at their native resolution, cutting out the need to transfer these jobs on to tape. Grading in high resolution means better color separation resulting in color-correction that's more accurate than ever before.

The Resolve suite also fits seamlessly into the production workflow alongside today's digital camera systems and is perfect not only for commercial work but also long-form drama, music promos and more.
