Portfolio’s Kids Roster Gets Inventive with ‘Addison’

Company will shop rights for two seasons of the STEM-centric show everywhere outside of Canada.

TORONTO -- Portfolio Entertainment acquired the CBC Kids-commissioned animated mystery-adventure series, Addisonfrom executive producer Charles Bishop of Halifax’s Six Eleven Media.

A STEM-centric series targeting kids aged 4-6, Addison follows a 7-year-old girl inventor who loves to solve mysteries. Addison and her diverse group of friends use imaginative inventions, reasoning and enthusiasm to figure out what’s behind the latest neighborhood conundrum.

Portfolio has acquired the worldwide rights to the series outside of Canada, with season one (20 x 11’) available now and season two (30 x 11’) beginning production in early 2018.

“Portfolio has a reputation for providing kids and families with entertaining and educational content,” said Joy Rosen, CEO and co-founder of Portfolio. “We got off to a running start at MIP Junior with this show, and we are confident that this trend will continue as Addison seems to be very of the moment.”
