Porchlight’s 'Zombie' Treks to Canadian TV

PorchLight Entertainment signs a licensing deal with Corus Entertainment and VRAK TV for Daddy I’m a Zombie.

Los Angeles, CA -- PorchLight Entertainment has inked licensing agreements with Corus Entertainment and VRAK TV for its spooky tween flick, Daddy I’m a Zombie. Under the agreements, the television channels will have the broadcasting rights to the animated movie for English and French Canada respectively. Daddy I’m a Zombie debuts on YTV in English on October 25th at 6:30 PM and on VRAK TV in French on November 1st at 7:00 PM.  It has also been licensed to Phase 4 Films for home video rights in Canada and the US as well as digital platforms in the US. The animated film was produced in Spain by AbraProd productions.

According to Peter Bergman, PorchLight’s CEO, “Daddy I’m a Zombie, which has a feature quality animated style, is strong on wit, humor and tween drama and has a captivating storyline that will keep kids delightfully spooked and glued to their seats. It’s ideal for Corus’ and VRAK TV’s audiences anywhere. We are pleased to add such top kids networks to the Daddy I’m a Zombie family.”

Targeting kids six to 17, the animated film features teenaged Dixie who finds herself totally over her adolescent life and so embarks on an ironic journey as a zombie, in which she must travel through the underworld to reclaim the very life she once took for granted. Daddy I’m a Zombie is distributed over all rights and media in the United States and Canada through PorchLight Entertainment.
