Pixar Releases Latest ‘Onward’ Trailer and Posters

Elf brothers Ian and Barley Lightfoot race against time, four-legged police and a dangerous curse in their race to fix their departed father’s half-completed conjuring in the new animated comedy adventure coming March 6, 2020.

Their quest is harried, urgent, and ultimately imperiled… sounds like the makings of a hilarious family outing bound for a bittersweet ending! We see hissing unicorns fighting over trash, plenty of ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ inspired floppy dad’s missing top-half disguise, a four-legged policeman with an awesome stache, and a Manticore, once a fearless warrior, now… serving chicken nuggets at a restaurant. The adventures of the Lightfoot brothers as they race against time seem sure to evoke plenty of laughs and probably a few tears.

Set in a suburban fantasy world, Disney and Pixar’s Onward introduces two teenage elf brothers (voices of Chris Pratt and Tom Holland) who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there. A new trailer and poster are now available, and new character posters were recently revealed, introducing cast members Mel Rodriguez, who voices Officer Colt Bronco; Lena Waithe, who lends her voice to Officer Specter; and Ali Wong, the voice of Officer Gore.

Directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae, the team who gave us Monsters UniversityOnward also features the voices of Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the boy’s mom, Laurel, and Octavia Spencer as the Manticore. The film opens in U.S. theaters on March 6, 2020.
