Disney Channel picks up French-Italian cartoon for summer U.S. premiere.

Indie French distributor Superights announced that Pat the Dog (78x7’), the cartoon comedy which launched last year at MIP Junior, has been acquired by ABC Cable Networks Group to be broadcast on Disney Channel U.S. in the summer.

Produced by Superprod in Vanilla Seed’s studio in Anghoulême (France) and Italian company Animoka for Canal+ and RAI, the adaptation of the mobile game sensation played by 27 million people around the globe has already been sold to RTBF, VRT, TSR, Radio Canada, Discovery Latin America and Turner EMEA and APAC. The terrestrial sales will start at MIP-TV next week.
