A veteran of the animation industry, Naito will oversee production on the studio’s current slate, which includes the next SpongeBob SquarePants movie and Wonder Park, due in theaters March 15, 2019. She also will seek out new projects for development, reporting to Mireille Soria, president of Paramount Animation.
The studio also has hired Emily Nordwind as VP production and development; Katherine MacDonald as VP production and marketing; and Maya Kambe as a creative executive.
Naito’s executive and producer credits prior to her stint at DreamWorks — where she worked with Soria — include Barnyard, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, The Wild Thornberrys Movie, Hey Arnold! The Movie, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Rugrats in Paris: The Movie and South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut.
