Paramount Revs up 'Ninja Turtles' Reboot

Deadline Hollywood reports that Paramount has hired Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Iron Man) to script a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action reboot.

Deadline Hollywood reports that Paramount has hired Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Iron Man) to script a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action reboot. Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes is producing along with original producers Scott Mednick, Galen Walker and Maria Norman.

According to Deadline Hollywood, Paramount’s Adam Goodman has fast-tracked the production, looking for an October draft so they can lock in a director to make a 2012 release date.  Nickelodeon bought the global intellectual property rights to the popular TMNT franchise for $60 million in partnership with sister Viacom company Paramount Pictures.

Marcum and Holloway just wrote the script for the Highlander reboot for Summit Entertainment, which will begin shooting next year under the direction of Fast and Furious 5’s Justin Lin.
