Watch Seth Rogen introduce the teens behind the turtles; the highly anticipated latest ‘TMNT’ chapter hits theaters next month.
Paramount has shared a new featurette for the highly anticipated upcoming release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, hitting theaters August 2, 2023. The featurette, Putting the Teen in TMNT, features funnyman/producer Seth Rogen introducing the teen talent behind the famed Turtle brothers – according to Rogen, the first-time teens have actually voiced the characters.
In the film, after years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through their heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.
The film is directed by Jeff Rowe and co-directed by Kyler Spears, based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman.
Award-winning animation studio Mikros Animation produced the animation. Point Grey Production’s Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver produce. Ramsay McBean and Josh Fagen serve as executive producers.
The voice cast includes Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog; Rose Byrne as Leatherhead; John Cena as Rocksteady; Jackie Chan as Master Splinter; Ice Cube as Superfly; Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut; Post Malone as Ray Fillet; Rogen as Bebop; Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko; Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil; Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman; and Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom.
