Paramount has optioned the rights from Mattel to make a Magic 8 Ball movie, reports Deadline.com. Paramount Motion Picture Group president Adam Goodman is negotiating the deal, setting Brad Weston up as the producer. Jon Gunn and John Mann (ALCATRAZ VS. THE EVIL LIBRARIANS) have been tapped to pen a script that will be a live-action adventure. Mattel's Tim Kilpin and Barry Waldo will exec produce.
