Industry veteran in computer graphics, digital media, mobile tools, and services brings extensive business and tech experience to his new role at the industry’s leading market research firm.
Omid Rahmat has joined leading computer graphics industry research firm Jon Peddie Research (JPR) as executive vice president, bringing extensive experience and knowledge of the startup and management of hardware and software companies in computer graphics, digital media, and mobile to his new role. He has also worked with major semiconductor companies, traditional software vendors, SaaS developers, and world-leading media conglomerates.

Beginning his career in computer graphics at Spea Video Seven, an early leader in graphics boards, Rahmat then proceeded to his first stint at JPR. Subsequently, he has worked in digital media as CEO of Tom’s Hardware and co-founder of Breaking Muscle. In addition, he has held leadership positions at SaaS vendor Citrix Online and music app Tully. He has also worked as a consultant at Intel, Microsoft, Salesforce, Samsung, and Google.
In his new role, Rahmat will focus on merging technology such as gaming, applications, tools, client and server solutions, and their integration with emerging Web3 infrastructures and subsequent shaping of the Metaverse.
