Visual studio Ntropic announced that founder & creative director Nate Robinson has received a Special Recognition award in the Artistic and Technical Achievement category at the 2013 Flame Awards. Honoring some of the best in visual FX, the Flame Awards were held in Amsterdam in September.

Nate is Creative Director, VFX Supervisor, Director and Founder of Ntropic. He and Ntropic have worked on commercials for Nike, Apple, Mercedes, and EA and music videos for Green Day, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and My Chemical Romance. He’s created visual effects on feature films The Matrix, Underworld, and Die Hard. Nate is a creative-led, highly conceptual VFX creative director.

"There are really just a handful of truly exceptional Flame artists in the world who combine creative and technical skills at an industry leading level. Nate is one of these creative technologists. There are many who are great at one, or the other. But finding people who have truly mastered both is like finding a unicorn. Even after seventeen years, receiving this sort of an honor from his peers and from the makers of the platform is humbling for him,” said Tom Wright, Managing Director of Ntropic in North America. “Congratulations Nate!”
