Northern Lights and Superexploder Take Home Top Prizes at 2013 AICE Camp Kuleshov

Northern Lights and SuperExploder take home the top prizes at the 2013 AICE Camp Kuleshov for Screwloose and an audio interpretation of the chariot race from Ben Hur respectively.

New York-based editorial boutique Northern Lights assistant editor Jon Simpson transforms the small town dancing teens of Footloose, into a group of demon-possessed juveniles in the :50 Screwloose trailer that took home top prize at the 2013 AICE Camp Kuleshov contest.  The win marks the studio’s third first place honor in the competition’s 10-year history.

Sister audio company SuperExploder’s assistant sound engineer Brady Hearn took home the inaugural Camp Kuleshov Sound Design Award for his futuristic audio interpretation of the chariot race scene from Ben Hur.  The new sound design category required competitors to create an original sound design for a film clip that would change the genre of the film.
