Nimble Collective Invites Animation Artists to Apply as Beta Testers

Startup aimed at building the world’s largest online animation community seeks individual animators or small teams to collaborate and test virtual streaming pipeline capabilities.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – Nimble Collective is inviting animators and other creators to apply to test its feature-packed virtual streaming production platform. The startup, founded by a stellar team of animation pioneers and technologists, is aiming to reinvent the animation content market by offering studio-caliber capabilities without the costly infrastructure.

Interested beta testers can submit their applications here. Initially, a small pool of applicants will be chosen for this limited public beta, but Nimble plans to expand the testing over the next several months. Ideal candidates will be those with a strong idea or existing project (individuals or teams). Nimble also is seeking those who want to be part of a team and who have skills in animation, lighting, layout, writing, etc., to test various aspects of the animation platform.

“This is a huge milestone for Nimble,” said Nimble Collective co-founder and CEO  Rex Grignon. “Inviting animation artists of all levels to create on our platform will ensure we're designing real solutions to real problems. Our goal is to provide the most frictionless workflow possible. We’re excited to be one step closer to offering the power of the studio to a new generation of animation artists.”

Nimble’s virtual streaming platform will allow creators to design, collaborate, and distribute their content on any computer using only a web browser and internet connection. Its pipeline will offer parallel capabilities as established studios, who have invested extensively to create and maintain their own infrastructure. Whether projects are 2D or 3D, teams can seamlessly work together to model, rig, texture, light, animate, render, composite, and edit.

Founded in 2014 by Grignon and other film and technology visionaries, Nimble Collective expects to serve an estimated 10 million professional and aspiring animators around the globe with its collaborative virtual platform.
