Nickelodeon Premieres The Fairly OddParents: Wishology Trilogy May 1, 2 and 3

Press Release from Nickelodeon

Burbank, Calif., April 27, 2009 -- An intergalactic adventure of epic proportions will unfold in May on Nickelodeon with THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS: WISHOLOGY, three one-hour primetime specials premiering the weekend of May 1, 2 and 3 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Based on the hit animated series from creator Butch Hartman, the trilogy follows Timmy Turner (Tara Strong) as he is anointed The Chosen One and must search for a magical wand to prevent a deadly galactic force known as The Darkness from destroying Earth. The wild, whirlwind multi-part quest, which takes the young hero from Dimmsdale to Fairy World to Las Vegas and beyond, features cameos by famed KISS band members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, and actors Brendan Fraser (THE MUMMY) and Patrick Warburton (RULES OF ENGAGEMENT). THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS: WISHOLOGY also pays homage to blockbuster Hollywood films by parodying classics such as THE MATRIX, LORD OF THE RINGS, STAR WARS and TERMINATOR.

"Butch has outdone himself in expanding the popular comedy/fantasy elements of this series into a hilarious, action-packed three-part special that spoofs every great action movie ever made," said Brown Johnson, President, Animation, Nickelodeon. "The super-colossal size of these specials will satisfy our audience's wish for action AND comedy."

In WISHOLOGY, after being anointed The Chosen One who must save the universe, Timmy travels to the Middle-Aged Rock Festival (M.A.R.F.) in Las Vegas because he believes the rock band KISS may hold the key to battling The Darkness. Upon his arrival in Sin City, he is shocked to learn that the members of KISS (with cameos by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley as their animated selves) are actually The Galactic Guardians of the White Wand. Unfortunately for Timmy, his fairy godparents have gone missing so he must continue his quest to the far side of the universe alone. With no one else to rely on, Timmy must look to three of his nemeses -- Vicky (Grey Delisle), Mr. Crocker (Carlos Alazraqui) and Dark Laser (Kevin Michael Richardson) -- to help him defeat The Darkness. Brendan Fraser guest stars as the voice of Turbo Thunder, a highly trained warrior who believes he (and not Timmy) is The Chosen One, and Patrick Warburton lends his voice to two agents of the Military Extra-Terrestrial Research Facility (M.E.R.F.).

The following are detailed descriptions of each one-hour "Wishology" trilogy specials:

"Wishology: The Big Beginning" premieres Friday, May 1, 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET/PTTimmy Turner faces his biggest challenge yet when a swirling black hole of doom called The Darkness threatens to absorb all the light and magic of Fairy World, Earth and every known universe. Centuries ago, a council of fairies hid a mystical wand on Earth that has the power to defeat The Darkness, but only the Chosen One -- who is depicted in the Fairy World prophecy and resembles Timmy Turner -- can unlock its mysteries. Unfortunately for Timmy, his fairy godparents are missing; his existence has been erased and The Darkness has sent giant metallic robot soldiers called Eliminators to get rid of him. Timmy's wild adventure takes him from Dimmsdale to Fairy World to Las Vegas and the Middle-Aged Rock Festival (M.A.R.F.) to find the rock band KISS who may hold the key to finding the magical wand.

"Wishology: The Exciting Middle Part" premieres Saturday, May 2, 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET/PTTimmy learns that to truly defeat The Darkness, he needs a second wand, which is located on the far side of the universe. The threat from the robotic Eliminators still remains as they have stolen Yugopotamia's Fake-i-fier technology and can transform into anyone, including Timmy's loved ones. Now, Timmy must rely on the last people he ever thought he could trust. With the help of Mr. Crocker, Dark Laser and his wicked babysitter Vicky, Timmy journeys into space to find the second wand and battle the Eliminators.

"Wishology: The Final Ending" premieres Sunday, May 3, 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET/PTTimmy returns to Dimmsdale to find that his home is actually an illusion and he is now living inside The Darkness. When Cosmo, Wanda and Jorgen come to the rescue, Timmy learns that he must also stop a rogue Eliminator who has absorbed Cosmo and Wanda's magic wands, morphed into a gigantic Destructonator and turned Earth into his metallic prison world. As Timmy trains to battle the Destructonator, he conjures a new plan – to treat The Darkness as a friend. The only question that remains is if The Darkness will be open to kindness, thus casting aside its plan to destroy Earth and Fairy World.

THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS: WISHOLOGY special event also will simulcast on Nickelodeon Mobile (NIMO) and will be available on TurboNick (www.turbonick.com), the network's broadband player.
