Nexus are delighted to announce that they have signed the talented directing team ManvsMachine.
ManvsMachine are led by Tim Swift and Mike Alderson who joined forces in 2007. A founding member of design agency Precursor, Tim brought his design, branding and animation experience to ManvsMachine having worked for the likes of Nike and Orange. Tim also has an international reputation as a short filmmaker featuring in festivals including ResFest and Onedotzero. Mike, a Ravensbourne graduate, came to the studio with a Promax Gold Award already under his belt won as Head of Design at Mainframe where he also worked with major advertising and broadcast clients.
ManvsMachine has since distinguished itself for its globally acclaimed work in high-end motion graphics and moving image. From Kylie to Nokia, Syfy and MTV, they have also bought their design skills to bear across a range of disciplines from print to live events.
Tipped as "the studio you must go to next year" at Promax 2010, ManvsMachine are very much on the up. Creating branding, motion graphics, animation, film and print, 2010 has seen them add to their trophy cabinet collecting a staggering 10 Awards, including a Gold at Promax for their Art Design and Design for their BT Vision and Syfy idents. They have also worked on high profile branding jobs for Discovery Channel (USA) NBC Universal (USA), Channel 4, Volkswagen, MTV Networks International, Five and Virgin Media.
Nexus EP Chris O'Reilly added. "ManvsMachine have developed amazing design skills through their broadcast work, and we’re keen to work with them on developing their directing voice, especially in the arena of storytelling and commercial work. We’re really excited to have them join the roster and look forward to them bringing something different to the Nexus offering.”
