New Superhero Series Greenlit For Cartoon Network And Kids’ WB!

There is more new animation coming from Warner Bros. Animation. TEEN TITANS, a series based on the popular DC Comics comic book characters, is scheduled to debut in 2003 on Cartoon Network and Kids WB! The series will follow Boy Wonder Robin as he leads fellow teen superheroes Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire and Raven in a battle to protect the Earth from a new generation of villains. Slated to debut on Cartoon Network in 2003, followed by broadcast on Kids WB!, this half-hour animated action series is being produced by Warner Bros. Animation under the guidance of Emmy Award-winner Glen Murakami. TEEN TITANS made their comic book debut in 1964 and were featured in their own monthly comic, which ran for seven years. The animated series is based on the DC Comic THE NEW TEEN TITANS, which debuted in 1980 and was DCs most popular comic book of the decade that followed.
