New ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ Image Revealed

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse lead animator Nick Kondo has revealed the first look at Miles Morales since the initial film teaser was released late last year. Kondo’s Twitter image features an anxious looking Morales (Shameik Moore) walking away from his parents Rio (Luna Lauren) and Jefferson (Brian Tyree Henry). Could there be trouble brewing between the trio?

Producer Phil Lord recently revealed the upcoming film will feature six different animation styles, each signifying a different universe. Crossing fingers we will soon get a glimpse at Mumbattan, Nueva York, and Earth-65, three of the confirmed alternate dimensions.

Across the Spider-Verse will see Into the Spider-Verse hero Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) hop between alternate dimensions as they face down a new villain. Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson co-direct the film, which is written by Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham. Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Lord, Miller, and Christina Steinberg are producing.

Initially scheduled for an October 7, 2022 theatrical release, Across the Spider-Verse has been pushed to hit cinemas June 2, 2023.
