New Sales Announced for 'Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood'

9 Story Entertainment announces global sales of Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood as production begins on a second season.

Toronto, Canada -- 9 Story Entertainment announced that it has begun production on season two of the award-winning animated preschool series, Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood (65 x 22’ HD). The company has also secured multiple season one sales of the series, including SRC (French Canada), E Junior (Middle East), True Visions (Thailand) and IRIB (Iran).  DVD sales have also been made to ABC Commercial (Australia) and Universal Music (Germany) through SUPER RTL.      

The series launched last fall on PBS KIDS in the U.S. and CBC in Canada.   It has also been licensed to Disney Channels (Latin America, Russian and Asia),  ABC (Australia), Canal+ Family (France), France Télévisions, Super RTL (Germany), Hop TV (Israel), YLE (Finland), NRK (Norway), Zee Learn (Indian Subcontinent), TVNZ (New Zealand), SVT (Sweden), and Luk International for Spain and Portugal. 

Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood recently won Best Preschool Animated Series at the 2013 Kidscreen Awards and the 2013 Cynopsis Kids !magination Award for Best Preschool Series.

The series is co-produced and distributed by 9 Story Entertainment and The Fred Rogers Company.  Executive Producers are Kevin Morrison for The Fred Rogers Company, Angela C. Santomero, co-founder of Out of the Blue and the creative force behind the hit series Blue’s Clues and Super WHY, and Vince Commisso for 9 Story Entertainment. 

Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood offers engaging storylines modeling the core skills that form the foundation of early childhood development and school readiness. Daniel is a shy but brave 4-year-old tiger who lives in the beloved Neighbourhood of Make Believe and with the help of his neighbours, family, and friends – O the Owl, Prince Wednesday, Miss Elaina and Katerina Kittycat, he learns valuable lessons that prepare him for school and life.
