Angus Fletcher has beenpromoted to president of the Jim Henson Television Group - Europe,the company has recently announced. Fletcher, who is based in London,will oversee all current and future television development,production and programming, and report to Charlie Rivkin, presidentand CEO of the Jim Henson Company. As executive vice president,Fletcher doubled the company's television program library.Currently, he is co-creator and executive producer on THE HOOBS, anew preschool television series airing on Channel 4 in the UK.Channel 4 has ordered 250 half-hour episodes, making it the largestever commissioned UK preschool series. "Jim Henson Television is at apinnacle of accomplishment thanks in large part to Angus' tirelesswork and devotion to the company," said Rivkin. "His tremendousinsight, creativity, experience and drive has taken our televisionprogramming to new heights, and we know that we will continue on thispath of success as Angus assumes this new role."
