New Posters, Featurette Drop for ‘Elemental’

Catch the new video, about Disney and Pixar’s latest 3DCG animated film, that introduces moviegoers to key characters and the voice talent bringing them to life, along with director Peter Sohn; movie hits theaters June 16.

Disney and Pixar have shared four fun new posters for Elemental, their upcoming 3DCG animated film focusing on the different elements of nature and how opposites attract (and react).

Also freshly released is an exciting featurette introducing moviegoers to the film’s key characters and the voice talent that brings them to life. Included in the featurette are Leah Lewis, who voices the fiery Ember; Mamoudou Athie as the Water-guy Wade; Wendi McLendon-Covey as Wade’s stormy Air-Ball-loving boss, Gale; and Catherine O’Hara as Wade’s funny-but-tearful mom, Brook. Director Peter Sohn (The Good Dinosaur, Partly Cloudy short) also provides his own insight into the flick.

Elemental is an original feature film set in Element City, where Fire-, Water-, Earth- and Air-residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in. The pair are about to discover something groundbreaking: how much they actually have in common.

Directed by Sohn, produced by Denise Ream, and executive produced by Pete Docter, Elemental features a screenplay by John Hoberg & Kat Likkel, and Brenda Hsueh with a story by Sohn, Hoberg & Likkel, and Hsueh. The film’s original score was composed and conducted by Thomas Newman.

Elemental bursts into theaters June 16.
