Holy reveals, Batman! A handful of exciting first-look character images have been released for upcoming Lovecraftian animated Batman film Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham, which include glimpses of Batman (David Giuntoli), Harvey Dent, (Patrick Fabian), Oliver Queen (Christopher Gorham), and Talia al Ghul (Emily O’Brien).

The upcoming film also features the talents of Tati Gabrielle as Kai Li Cain, John DiMaggio as James Gordon; Brian George as Alfred; Karan Brar as Sanjay “Jay” Tawde; David Dastmalchian as Grendon; Navid Negahban as Ra’s al Ghul; Tim Russ as Lucius Fox; Matthew Waterson as Jason Blood/Etrigan; Jeffrey Combs as Kirk Langstrom; William Salyers as Cobblepot; Gideon Adlon as Oracle; Darin De Paul as Thomas Wayne; and Jason Marsden as Dick Grayson and Young Bruce Wayne.

Inspired by the 2001 graphic novel by Mike Mignola, Richard Pace and Troy Nixey, The Doom that Came to Gotham is designated as an Elseworlds title, which sets it outside the main DCU canon. In the film, the billionaire vigilante must save a 1920s Gotham from an evil spirit he accidentally unleashed. Lovecraftian shenanigans ensue as he is faced by familiar allies and enemies such as Green Arrow, Ra’s al Ghul, Mr. Freeze, Killer Croc, Two-Face, and James Gordon.

The collaborative project from Warner Bros. Animation, DC, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is co-directed by Sam Liu and Christopher Berkeley, with a script by Jase Ricci. Liu also produces alongside Jim Krieg and Kimberly S. Moreau under executive producers Sam Register and Michael Uslan.

Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham is expected to release Spring 2023.
