New ‘The Great North’ Teaser Reveals Alanis Morissette Role

The famed singer will appear as an embodiment of the Northern Lights in FOX’s new Molyneux sisters animated series the follows the Tobin family Alaskan adventures.

A new teaser has arrived for The Great North, the animated series from Loren Bouchard, Wendy Molyneux, and Lizzie Molyneux (the genius minds behind Bob’s Burgers), and it’s brought quite a surprise! Singer Alanis Morissette plays a fittingly ethereal role, it seems, as the embodiment of the Northern Lights (although she is credited as “Self,” so we’re interested to see how that ties in). Watch the new teaser below:

The animated series follows the Alaskan adventures of single dad Beef Tobin as does his best with his weird bunch of kids Judy, Wolf, Moon, and Ham. Featured voices on the series include Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Jenny Slate (Bob’s Burgers), Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth), Dulcé Sloan (Chick Fight), and Alanis Morissette. The show is being animated by Emmy-winning studio, Titmouse.

The Great North premieres February 2021 as part of FOX’s Animation Domination block.
