New Clip & Int’l Trailer Arrive for Blue Sky’s ‘Ferdinand’

Forthcoming CG-animated feature from director Carlos Saldanha charges into theaters on December 15.

20th Century Fox has released a brand-new clip and international trailer for Ferdinand, the CG-animated feature from Blue Sky Studios charging into theaters on December 15.

Directed by Carlos Saldanha (Rio), Ferdinand tells the story of a giant bull with a big heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast, the titular bull (voiced by John Cena) is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. Set in Spain, and inspired by the beloved book “The Story of Ferdinand” by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson, Ferdinand proves you can’t judge a bull by its cover.

Check out the new clip and trailer below:

Ferdinand’s all-star cast also includes Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, Anthony Anderson, Daveed Diggs, Gabriel Iglesias, Bobby Cannavale, David Tennant, Flula Borg, Sally Phillips, Boris Kodjoe, Jerrod Carmichael, Raúl Esparza, Karla Martínez and Miguel Ángel Silvestre, alongside former NFL star Peyton Manning as Guapo the Bull and Colombian musician Juanes.

This isn’t the first film adaptation for Ferdinand -- Walt Disney’s animated short film, Ferdinand The Bull, won an Academy Award in 1938.
