A week of programming-reveal mayhem kicked off with exciting announcements for 11 of the streamer’s upcoming film and series projects, including ‘Ultraman Rising,’ ‘Arcane,’ and ‘Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.’
Netflix’s Geeked Week 2023 kicked off Monday, November 6, with the week-long virtual event highlighting the streamer’s most anticipated genre titles across films, series, and games. During the first day showcases on Thursday, Netflix revealed teaser trailers, art, or new images for an entire slate of film and series projects.

The streamer’s first big animation-related reveal was a casting announcement, sneak peek video, and first-look images for Ultraman: Rising, the newest 3DCG animated movie from director Shannon Tindle, coming in 2024. Check out the digital goodies here.
Netflix and Riot Games confirmed the second season of Arcane will debut November 2024. Created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, Fortiche Productions animates the upcoming series. Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Prunell, and Katie Leung reprise their voice roles as Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn Kiramman, respectively.
The Umbrella Academy
A featurette and teaser art were shared for the fourth and final season, coming in 2024.
Squid Game: The Challenge
A featurette starring Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk teases the upcoming series, which follows 456 real players as they compete in challenges from the original series to win a $4.56 million cash prize.
A teaser was shared for Sweet Home season 2, which follows Green Home survivors and Hyun-su, each fighting to survive in new places, while other beings and mysterious phenomena emerge. The series premieres December 1.
A trailer was dropped for the anime series set in the near future, where a nuclear blast causes Earth to momentarily overlap with hell and pollute the air with sandstorms from hell. Thai production company Studio Igloo brings to life the adventures of a boy and a daemon child in an original story by Hirotaka Adachi (aka Otsuichi). My Daemon premieres November 23.
Life on Our Planet
A BTS featurette was revealed for the upcoming series, following life’s epic battle to conquer and survive on planet earth. In partnership with Industrial Light & Magic, the series narrated by Morgan Freeman uses the latest technology and science to bring extinct creatures back to life. Silverback Films and Amblin Television produce.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory
Netflix teased its upcoming entry to the Jurassic franchise from DreamWorks Animation. The 3DCG animated series, coming in 2024, picks up after the park has closed and the kingdom has fallen… with a new era of chaos. Check out the images and announcement teaser here.
A new clip was shared for the hilarious new animated comedy starring Adam Sandler (Hotel Transylvania, The Wedding Singer). Streaming November 21, the 3DCG feature follows the eponymous 74-year-old lizard as he plans to escape his decades-long terrarium home after discovering he has only one year to live. Orion and the Dark
A teaser trailer, art, and new images were revealed for DreamWorks Animation’s 3DCG animated film, directed by Sean Charmatz, written by Academy Award-winning author and filmmaker Charlie Kaufman (Anomalisa, Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and produced by Peter McCown alongside executive producers Walt Dohrn and Bonnie Arnold. Avatar: The Last Airbender
A teaser and images were released for the live-action reimagining of the beloved animated series following Aang, the young Avatar, as he learns to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air) to restore balance to a world threatened by the terrifying Fire Nation. Avatar: The Last Airbender premieres in 2024.
