Netflix Reveals ‘Farzar’ Voice Cast

Lance Reddick, Dana Synder, David Kaye, Jerry Minor, and Kari Wahlgren join as series regulars on the animated sci-fi comedy from the creators of ‘Paradise PD’ and ‘Brickleberry.’

Netflix has just announced the voice cast for their animated sci-fi comedy series, Farzar, the inaugural project of the multi-year deal the streamer signed back in early 2021 with Brickleberry and Paradise PD creators Roger Black and Waco O’Guin. No release date has been provided for the 10-episode first season.

Farzar is billed as an outrageous sci-fi comedy that follows Prince Fichael and his crew as they venture out of their domed human city to fight the evil aliens that want to kill and/or eat them. As they begin their journey, Fichael quickly discovers that all is not what it seems, and he may be living a lie.

Series regulars include Lance Reddick (Resident Evil, John Wick, Bosch) as Renzo, the “elected” czar of Farzar; Dana Snyder (The Patrick Star Show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Paradise PD) as Fichael, Czar Renzo and Queen Flammy’s only son, Bazarack, leader of the “evil alien” rebels, and Billy, a highly incapable mutant weighed down by giant lobster claw, chicken beak, rhino horn, skunk tail and various other… parts; David Kaye (Eternals, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Ratchet & Clank) as Barry Barris, the greatest scientific mind on Farzar… until his nervous breakdown; Jerry Minor (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Brickleberry) as Scootie, a former human soldier who lost almost his entire body in battle and is now a cyborg; and Kari Wahlgren (Rick and Morty, Teen Titans, DC Superhero Girls) as Mal, a grizzled soldier, and Val, a sweet and dedicated preschool teacher.

Co-stars include Grey DeLisle (The Loud House, The Simpsons, Robot Chicken) as Queen Flammy, the queen of Farzar, Fichael’s mother and Renzo’s wife; and Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911, Kamp Koral, The Casagrandes) as Zobo, a mischievous little alien known as a chaos-celot, a species of aliens who feed on chaos.

The show is created, written, executive produced, and showrun by Black and O’Guin. Marc Provissiero (Paradise PD, Pen15) will serve as an executive producer, with Bento Box’s Scott Greenberg (Bob’s Burgers, Paradise PD) and Joel Kuwahara (Bob’s Burgers, Paradise PD) also serving as executive producers. The show is produced by Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment and Bento Box Entertainment.
