Silvergate’s ‘Octonauts’ spin-off returns to the streamer with all new episodes; new season special ‘Rainforest Rescue’ finds the team on an adventure in the Amazon.
Silvergate Media’s Octonauts: Above & Beyond Season 2 premiered yesterday, May 2, on Netflix. The Octonauts spin-off, which debuted last September, extended the team’s adventures beyond the sea and onto land. The new season of the eco-series CG animated show sees the show’s intrepid team continuing its heroic adventures, experiencing new climates, rescuing animals, and protecting the land they live on.
In the new season’s upcoming 22-minute special, “Rainforest Rescue,” the Octonauts embark on an adventure through the Amazon rainforest canopy to rescue a baby eaglet. New episodes will also bring three Terra Gups to the Octonaut’s land-based vehicle fleet, based on a Giraffe Weevil, Turtle and Centipede retrospectively.
The Season 2 launch supports the roll out of the new toy range from global master toy licensee Moose Toys. Set to launch this summer, the new collection will be featured alongside the original Octonauts line.
